Into the Caribbean!
Since the Caribbean is about 44% of all Marine Historical stories / novels / films (but you have to add that the infamous Cape Horn shares the same percentage) is these actions take place there (the other reason would be it that pirates must not necessarily like to stay around Cape Horn ...).
times now I'm ignoring the historical facts of geography or politics of the Caribbean for the years 1800 - 1810 and explain to tackle the situation there.
The Caribbean is divided into different ports and settlements, each of French, English, Dutch, English or Spartan origin. (The Spartans are not helmeted paranoid people with a penchant for oversized wooden horse and owl meant, but the pirate faction, which sets-part-no value on their outward appearance or their estates.)
Our heroine is a young girl named actually still Deljla. A very strange name, in fact nothing but the arms were for it. Your stupid name but could their decisions and adventure not suppress. And so it happened that they were still in their younger years, competed in the Royal Marines. It was very unusual that a woman went to see this or even how the Navy later, but usual normality of interest or even come in this story probably even too short.
